01 — How it works
Who does what, at every step.
GlobalGate Homes receives a homeowner’s request, reads it and, once the homeowner has authorised it, contacts independent businesses that serve the area. Everything after that introduction — the visit, the quote, the contract, the work and the payment for it — happens between you and the business you choose.
This page answers the questions in the order they come up, and it answers each of them with one name rather than with a description of a process. Where the answer is “the business you chose”, it says so; where the answer is “GlobalGate Homes”, it says that too, and those places are few.
An introduction, and then the parties are you and them.
GlobalGate Homes is not a party to the construction contract.
That sentence is the whole of this page in one line. Everything below is the same statement broken into the questions a homeowner actually asks.
The service does one thing: it takes a description of a project from a homeowner and, with that homeowner’s explicit authorisation, contacts independent businesses of its own choosing that serve the area and gives them that description and the contact detail the homeowner chose. It is an introduction. It is not an agency, not a main contract with subcontracts underneath it, and not a project-management arrangement.
So GlobalGate Homes does not quote, does not price, does not negotiate, does not sign a construction contract, does not run a site, does not hold your money for the work and does not warrant anyone’s work. Those are the business’s responsibilities, under its own contract with you, and they stay there. It charges you a separate fee for its own service — the introduction — and that fee buys help with the request and the approach, never advice about the building.
Support at GlobalGate Homes can help you use this site: understanding the request flow, correcting something you typed, finding a project-type page. Support is not a site supervisor, cannot answer for a business you have been introduced to, and will not tell you whether a quote is reasonable.
- The introduction
- Between you and GlobalGate Homes. GlobalGate Homes reads your request and contacts businesses that serve your area; its part ends when they have your project details and your contact detail.
- The fee for the introduction
- Paid by you to GlobalGate Homes, separately from anything you pay the business. A flat US $49 per request, and a homeowner’s first request is free. No payment is taken on this website. For a paid request, GlobalGate Homes tells you that the US $49 fee applies, and you can decline. After your agreement, GlobalGate Homes emails you an invoice, payable by bank transfer or card. Payment is collected off-site before the first business is contacted. See what the fee buys.
- The quote
- Between you and each business. GlobalGate Homes does not see it, write it, check it or hold a copy of it.
- The contract
- Between you and one business. GlobalGate Homes is not a party to it, is not named in it, and cannot enforce it or be held to it.
- The work
- Carried out by that business, on its own responsibility, under whatever registration, licensing and insurance the law requires of it.
- The money for the work
- Paid by you to that business, directly. Nothing for the work passes through GlobalGate Homes.
Seven questions, in the order they arise.
Each answer names a party. None of them is a description of an intention.
-
01
Who receives the request, and who makes the approach?
GlobalGate Homes receives it through its host and mail service. A person reads it and decides which independent businesses that serve your area to contact about it. Those businesses receive the project details and the contact detail you chose, and nothing more. The authorisation you give on the last screen is what allows that, and the box is never ticked for you. GlobalGate Homes does not vet, rank or vouch for the businesses it contacts, and contacting a business is not a recommendation of it.
-
02
Who contacts the homeowner?
Any business GlobalGate Homes contacted that is interested in the project, directly, using the one contact detail you gave. It gets in touch on its own initiative and its own schedule — or not at all: no business is obliged to reply. GlobalGate Homes does not call you on their behalf, does not arrange the appointment, does not sit in on it and does not speak for either side once the two of you are talking.
-
03
Who prepares the quote?
Each business prepares its own quote, on its own terms, after whatever site visit or measurement it needs. GlobalGate Homes does not prepare a quote, does not set or suggest a price, does not collect quotes on your behalf and does not compare them for you.
-
04
Who signs the contract?
You and the business you decide to work with. That contract is between the two of you. GlobalGate Homes is not a party to it, does not sign it, does not countersign it and is not a guarantor of it. Read it before you sign it, and ask the business — not us — about anything in it you do not understand.
-
05
Who carries out the work?
That business, with its own people and its own subcontractors, under its own responsibility and its own obligations in the state where the property is. GlobalGate Homes does not direct the crew, does not schedule the trades, does not inspect the work and does not sign anything off.
-
06
Who is paid, and by whom?
You pay the business for the work, directly, on the terms of the contract you signed with it. No payment for the work passes through GlobalGate Homes, and GlobalGate Homes does not hold deposits, does not run escrow and does not release funds at any stage.
Separately, you pay GlobalGate Homes a fee for its own service: preparing and carrying the introduction. That fee is a flat US $49 per request, and a homeowner’s first request is free. No payment is taken on this website. For a paid request, GlobalGate Homes tells you that the US $49 fee applies, and you can decline. After your agreement, GlobalGate Homes emails you an invoice, payable by bank transfer or card. Payment is collected off-site before the first business is contacted. That fee buys help with the introduction process — getting the request into a shape a business can quote from, knowing what a written quote should contain and what to ask about it — and never advice on the construction work, technical arbitration, specification, site supervision or project management. The line, and why it is drawn there.
-
07
What if no business replies?
Then nothing more happens, and nothing is owed to any business. GlobalGate Homes does not promise that any business will respond, how many will, how quickly, at what price, or how well a business works, and it does not invent a business to fill the gap. It does not vet, rank or vouch for the businesses it contacts either: before you hire a business that does contact you, check its registration yourself — use the official Washington register.
The short list.
Nothing on this list is a service that has not launched yet. Each line describes something the service is not, and will not become while it is a referral service.
- We do not carry out, manage, schedule or supervise construction work.
- We do not visit, measure, survey, design or specify a property.
- We do not advise on the construction work itself, choose materials or methods, or say what should be built or how.
- We do not arbitrate a technical disagreement, write or check a specification, supervise a site or manage a project.
- We do not prepare, price, review, compare or negotiate a quote.
- We do not sign construction contracts or become a party to one.
- We do not take payment for work, hold deposits or move money between a homeowner and a business.
- We do not warrant, guarantee or insure the work of any business.
- We do not vet, rank, recommend or vouch for the businesses we contact, and we do not choose which one you hire.
- We do not act as your representative in any dealing with a business.
Requests can be sent. Nothing guarantees an answer.
The server validates and stores accepted requests, then attempts to notify GlobalGate Homes by email. Storage, acceptance by the mail service and receipt in the mailbox are separate stages. Businesses are contacted afterwards by a person; no response from a business is guaranteed.
There is no list of businesses on this site to browse, and no business has an agreement with GlobalGate Homes. The businesses it contacts about a request are independent and free to reply or not; none of them is named here.
The flow confirms storage only after a server response with a valid reference. It reports a failed email notification separately. If no usable response arrives, receipt remains unconfirmed: the request may have been stored even if the connection failed. The screen gives the email address and telephone number for follow-up.
