Find independent professionals for your home improvement project.

Explore project information, then send your request to GlobalGate Homes, which contacts independent businesses serving your area on your behalf.

02 — What this is

One service, and one job inside it: the introduction.

A way to reach independent businesses — not a builder.

GlobalGate Homes publishes information about home improvement projects and puts homeowners in touch with independent businesses. That introduction is the whole of the service.

You describe the project you have in mind. GlobalGate Homes reads your request and contacts independent businesses that serve your area. Any business that is interested contacts you directly, and you are free to answer it or not.

From that point the relationship is between you and that business. It visits the property if a visit is needed. It writes its own quote. It signs its own contract with you. It carries out the work, and you pay it. GlobalGate Homes is not a party to that contract and does not stand behind the work.

What is not promised. That any business replies, how many do, how quickly, at what price, or how well it works. GlobalGate Homes does not vet, rank or vouch for the businesses it contacts, and contacting one is not a recommendation. Check a business’s registration yourself before you hire it: use the official Washington register.

That boundary is not fine print added at the end. It is the shape of the service, and every page here is written around it.

What this costs. You pay the business directly for the work. You pay GlobalGate Homes a separate fee for its own service — help with the request and the approach, never advice about the building. That fee is a flat US $49 per request, and a homeowner’s first request is free. No payment is taken on this website. For a paid request, GlobalGate Homes tells you that the US $49 fee applies, and you can decline. After your agreement, GlobalGate Homes emails you an invoice, payable by bank transfer or card. Payment is collected off-site before the first business is contacted. What the fee buys, and the line it does not cross.

You describe
The kind of work, the area, and anything you want a business to know before it gets in touch.
You authorise
GlobalGate Homes to receive your request and to share the project details and your chosen contact detail with businesses it contacts about it. The box is never ticked for you.
Who you pay, and for what
The business, directly, for the work. And GlobalGate Homes, separately, for the introduction: US $49 per request, with a homeowner’s first request free. Nothing is paid on this website, and nothing is charged without your agreement.
They quote
Each business that contacts you prepares its own quote on its own terms. GlobalGate Homes neither writes it nor reviews it.
They contract
Any contract for the work is between you and the business. GlobalGate Homes does not sign it and is not a party to it.
03 — How it works

Four steps, and the choice of business stays yours.

The request flow asks about the project before it asks about you, and shows you exactly what GlobalGate Homes will receive before anything is sent.

  1. 01

    Describe the project

Pick the closest project type, give a city or ZIP code, and add anything a business should know. Nothing leaves the page at this point.

You seeYour own description, still yours, before anyone else has read it.

  2. 02

    Say how to reach you

A name, and one way to be contacted — email or phone — with the detail that goes with it. Nothing leaves the page at this point either.

You seeOnly the field for the contact method you chose.

  3. 03

    Authorise and send

A last screen shows exactly what GlobalGate Homes will receive. The authorisation box is not ticked for you, and nothing is sent until you tick it.

You seeThe full summary of your request, with the fee stated before you authorise anything.

  4. 04

    Businesses contact you

GlobalGate Homes reads your request and contacts independent businesses that serve your area. Those that are interested get in touch with you directly. Visits, quotes, contracts, schedules and payment for the work are settled between you and them.

You seeContact from interested businesses, if any reply: none is obliged to.

The last screen gives you a reference when the server confirms storage. It distinguishes a rejected request from a submission whose receipt could not be confirmed, and reports the email notification status when available. How it works sets out who does what at each step.

04 — Project types

The kinds of work you can describe.

Each page sets out what the work usually involves, what a business will want to know before it can quote, and what to look for in a written quote. Pick the closest one — it only has to be close enough for a business to recognise the job.

  1. 01

    Interior renovation

Walls, floors, ceilings, lighting and trim — one room, one floor or a whole house.

  2. 02

    Exterior renovation

Cladding, roofing, windows, doors, decks and entries. Usually the permit-heavy end of a project.

  3. 03

    Kitchen remodeling

Layout, cabinetry, counters, appliances, plumbing and electrical, sequenced on one schedule.

  4. 04

    Bathroom remodeling

Waterproofing, tile, fixtures, ventilation and lighting, from a single bath to every bathroom in the house.

  5. 05

    Space planning & layout

Moving walls, doors and openings so the rooms you already have work the way you need them to.

  6. 06

    Home additions & extensions

New floor area — a room, a storey, a garage conversion — with the structure, permits and utilities to match.

  7. 07

    Finishing & fit-out

Completing a shell or an unfinished space: surfaces, joinery, fixtures and the last trades on site.

05 — What we do, what we do not do

The line, written down.

Two lists, side by side, so that nothing has to be inferred. The right-hand column is the one that matters most, and it is the longer of the two on purpose.

What GlobalGate Homes does

  • Publishes information about home improvement projects and about how to read a quote.
  • Reads each request and contacts independent businesses that serve the homeowner’s area about it.
  • Passes those businesses, on your authorisation, your project details and the contact detail you chose, so they can contact you.
  • Charges a flat US $49 per request for that help with the introduction — a homeowner’s first request is free — and tells you the fee applies before it contacts businesses on a paid request.
  • Answers questions about using this site and this referral service.

What GlobalGate Homes does not do

  • Carry out, manage, schedule or supervise construction work.
  • Visit a property, measure it, design it or specify it.
  • Advise on the construction work itself, arbitrate a technical disagreement, supervise a site or manage a project.
  • Prepare a quote, price a job, negotiate a price, or review a quote for you.
  • Sign a construction contract, or become a party to one between you and a business.
  • Take payment for work, or hold or move money between you and a business.
  • Warrant, guarantee or insure the work of any business.
  • Vet, rank, recommend or vouch for the businesses it contacts, or choose which one you hire.
06 — Start a request

When you are ready, start a request.

The request flow lives on the contact page. It asks what the project is, where it is and how you would like to be contacted, then shows you exactly what GlobalGate Homes will receive.

When the server confirms storage, the last screen gives you a reference. This does not confirm mailbox delivery or contact with a business. Nothing guarantees that a business will respond, when, or at what price.
